March 9 Blog Posting

Make sure that you have completed your web site on Weebly. You will be sharing these with me on Monday. You will have no time on Monday to work on this.

Next you are to research the new Google security settings and restrictions. They can have a great impact on your life. Determine how those changes will impact you and what they mean to your personal identity on the web. Make sure you review the web history that is being tracked by Google. Review the other histories that are being tracked. How long will Google keep the history?

Use this blog posting to answer the questions above. Make sure you are doing your own work. This topic will be on the final exam!

When finished work on KeyTrain. This will be your last chance.

Advertisement Flyer About You

You to create a ONE page informational flyer about you. This flyer should highlight your greatest abilities, skills, interests and goals. You are to use MS Publisher to create the flyer. You will save the flyer as a PDF type file. (I will show you how to do this.) The flyer will be just one of the inputs into your personal web site that you will be creating. The idea is to create a 'resume' like flyer that you can use to attract an employer, coach, mentor, etc. Include in your flyer your 'personal mission' statement.

The flyer should showcase the very best of YOU!

Determine your skills that would be useful
Determine your goals that would be useful
Determine your personal values and beliefs that would be useful
Determine what should be included in your 'personal mission statement'
Determine what you have learned in this class that would be useful (highlight the skills you have learned in class)
Determine how your values, mission and skills will help you succeed in reaching your goals

Use any template and color combination that is professional in appearance.

Use only ONE image on the flyer that is NO larger than 2 inches x 3 inches.

Include an inspirational quote that reflects your values. Make sure you give credit to the person you are quoting.

Make sure that your spelling and grammar is correct.

You must save your file as: SmithPersonalFlyer (replace Smith with your last name). You are to save the Publisher file as a PDF file type. Follow these steps:
File > Save As
Change the 'Save As Type' to PDF
Name the file according to the instructions above.
Change the 'Save In' to your P drive
Finish saving the file and then copy the file to the Write folder on the S drive

Copy your file to the Write folder: PersonalFlyer
