Examine the spreadsheet you created and discuss IN DETAIL the following:
- Which college offers what you would consider the best opportunity for you to get an education in the degree of your choice? Explain why you think this way.
- Discuss the cost of tuition for all three colleges. Is one college much more expensive than the others? Why? Does one college charge high fees for room and board as compared to the other college? Why do you think this is so?
- Which college are you most likely going to be able to attend? This may be because of GPA, cost, etc.
- Discuss the classes that you signed up for next year and how these classes will help you prepare for following your career path and college choice.
- Discuss in detail goals you will need to set and ACHIEVE in order to get into the college of your choice. Also discuss how you will achieve these goals.
- Discuss how you plan to pay for going to the college of your choice. Make sure you tell us what the total cost of your college education will be.
- After completing the research did you change your mind about your college or career choices? Why or why not?

The college that offers the best opportunity for my field would have to be the University of Toledo. First, it's super close to home which is a good thing. The Course itself is less costly than my other two choices. I also researched that Toledo has a magnificent criminal justice field. Teachers who have been in the situation themselves and know what they are doing. Tuition for Toledo is about eight grand per semester. BGSU is well over 10 grand and Ohio State is about $23,000. Ohio State is one of the most legit colleges in the world, so its no wonder why they cost so much. BGSU is greedy. They charge a lot because not many students go there. In the area Toledo is by far, a superior school. More than likely I will attend Toledo because of my GPA. I have a 3.2 right now, and Ohio State only accepts GPA's higher than 3.7's. BGSU is a lower school with an entering GPA at about 2.7. Next year I am taking Law and Society, which will clearly help me in my field. I am also taking Marketing because I need to know how the business field works. Law and Society is a great class to take for my career. As a Police officer, I need to know the laws and how it applies to society. I won't have much success if I don't know. Goals I will to have to set for myself includes, staying in top physical shape. I need to focus more on school work and I need to follow the law and stay clear of any trouble.
To pay for college, My parents have a college fund. This fund will pay for my expenses (such as room and board, books, transportation, classes, ect.). I plan on working on my sports skills in the next two years. I'm a very gifted athlete and I feel with prayer, faith, and dedication I can receive a full ride scholarship to pay for college. Plus, if I don't get my athletic scholarship, there are thousands of other scholarships that can help with the cost of college. After completing my research on my college and career choices, I don't have much to change my mind about. If I stay focused, I should have a pretty good chance into getting into any three of these colleges.
I think the university of Toledo gives the best education i could get because it gives all the stuff i need to follow my career. the University of Toledo is really close to home which is good because then i dont have to live far from my family. Toledo costs more then the other colleges because their meal plan is expensive and so is getting a room and bored. the college i most likely could attend is Loudes College because the GPA is a 2.0 and i know i am able to get that GPA. classes i took for next year dont relate to my career because i just took random classes. i need to make a goal that i will get a 2.0 or better to get excepted into these colleges. and i can acheive these goals by studyin and workin hard. the total cost of my college education will be about 1,000 dollars. and ill have a job and parents to help pay. I changed my mind about the U of M because you have to have like a 3.0 GPA to get excepted into it.

ReplyDeleteI would consider Akron University to probably be the best college that I could attend for my degree and schooling. I think this because they have a nationally ranked in business, they have a very high success rate, and of the people attending the University of Akron, cost are trying for their some kind of business degree. Akron cost approximately $17,168.16 for tuition, opposed to my other colleges I am looking at; University of Michigan being $12,590 and Adrian College being $27,050. Adrian College is a lot more expensive because it is a private college, while the other two are public. University of Akron cost more than the University of Michigan because of the out of state fees. They all cost about the same for room and board so that doesn’t have very much affect on my decision. I think of these three colleges I would most likely be able to attend the University of Akron because it is not as expensive as Adrian College and not as demanding of a school as the University of Michigan. I signed up for an honors math course and am working with my teacher to test out of a class to get ahead of my requirements. I’m making some of these choices so I can look good on my transcript for a college. I am going to need to work really hard in school and do my homework, not just to do it, but to learn from it because this is the real world and you need to get people and colleges to notice you. I will be able to achieve this by starting now and making it habit to learn from the things I do. I am planning on trying to research scholarships and use sites such as www.fastweb.com. I am also going to try to receive an athletic scholarship for soccer if that is possible. Before I started researching colleges and careers I’ve always had my eyes set on the University of Michigan but I now know that, that will be extremely difficult with an acceptance rate of about 50%. I realize there are other great colleges such as Adrian College and the University of Akron.

ReplyDeleteI think North Carolina State University would be a goo0d college for me to attend. I want to be something in the veterinarian field I think. I could get my Bachelor's Degree here and then move on to my Doctor Of Veterinarian medicine.
The colleges I have on my list are University of Toledo, Michigan State, and North Carolina State University. North Carolina costs the most, probably because it is a big college and vet schools are very hard to get into and it might cost more to run because of all the courses they offer. I really want to attend NCSU because I want to move somewhere warm and it has so many class options.
I signed up for essentials in chemistry for next year because I will need a lot of science classes to be a vet. Biology is mandatory, but I want to take college bio.
My goal is to get all A's throughout high school because NCSU is very competitive. I will need to study a lot and do my best. One year of college would be $30,000.It would be at least $120,000 for my whole education. I have my college fund and I will try to get a scholarship to pay for college. I still don't know what I am going to be, I want to be a vet because I love animals, but it just depends if I like the classes. It will probably change by the time I got to college.

The college that I think offers me the best opportunity for becoming a mental health nurse is Florida State University. I think this school is the best choice because they have one of the best nursing programs in the nation. Florida States nursing program offers hands on learning with patients.
Tuition for Florida State is roughly $21,000 dollars. The reason the cost is so much is because it is out of state. If I was in state it would only be $9,000. Florida State is the most expensive school out of the colleges I picked. The next college I picked was the University of Cincinnati. The tuition for this is $13,701. It’s not as much because it is an in state college. There nursing program has several different facilities with several faculty members to help when needed. The third school that I chose was Michigan State University. The tuition for Michigan State is $12,822. This school is also an in state college. Florida State has the most expensive room and board at $5,424. Michigan States room and board costs $4,102 and The University of Cincinnati is $3,260.
The college that I will most likely attend is Michigan State University. It’s closer to home than Florida State University and the tuition is a lot less. The classes that I signed up for next year are Psychology 1, and Family Living. Psychology I think will help me understand many different concepts of the human body. Family Living will teach me that sometimes things get hard and cause people to become mentally sick; with such diseases as depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
Some goals that I will need to set up for myself would be to get my grades up a little higher. I would need to do that by focusing on school other than extracurricular activities, study for tests more and actually do my homework. I plan on paying for my college tuition with scholarships and loans mostly. I would like to go on a track scholarship, or something to do with math.
After completing my research I have changed my school choice. I originally wanted to go to Ohio State University but they did not offer the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Program that I needed. I have not changed my mind of what I wanted to be. I like the idea of helping people.

When choosing which college to attend for a bachelor’s degree and for athletic training education, I think the University of Michigan would be the best option. The tuition at University of Akron is greater than that of University of Michigan’s by about $4,000. University of Michigan’s tuition is around $12,000 and Akron’s is around $16,000. Akron’s tuition is so much higher because I would have to pay for out of state tuition. Despite the tuition differences, the room & board fees are about the same, except Akron’s is about $500 more.
Even though the University of Akron has a slightly lower GPA requirement, I am probably going to attend the University of Michigan because the cost is more manageable. The GPA of the University of Michigan is roughly a 3.7+. I will have to study and get good grades during high school to achieve this standard.
Taking certain classes in high school can help me get into the college or get to the degree I am looking for. Next year I am taking two of these classes, biology and team sports. I am then going to take Kinesiology my junior or senior year when the school starts to offer it as a class again.
The total cost of attending University of Michigan is about $25,000 possibly a year. It will take a lot of work to pay it off, but I plan on paying these through student loans and with the help of financial aid.
Through all this research, I changed my mind about colleges and career I plan to participate in because of the detail involved in each.

ReplyDeleteI think that Michigan College of Beauty would be a good choice for me to go to college because it allows me to get the education and degree I want and because it offers all of the classes I would need to take to get the job I want. The tuition cost for the colleges I researched all vary, but by far the one I want to attend, cost a lot less. It would only be about $8,800 compared to the other colleges I researched which were about 28 thousand dollars and 19 thousand dollars. Cost of room and board is also less expensive at Michigan College of Beauty, which is only $5,683 compared to $7890, and $8840. The classes that I signed up for next year I don’t think they really help me prepare for the job I want but I didn’t really know if there was any classes or electives I could have taken to prepare me for cosmetology. I just know you can start taking cosmetology classes your junior year. One goal that I should set for myself to get into the college I want would be to keep my GPA high. I’m not really sure how I plan to pay 17 thousand dollars to go to college. Also when I started researching I had no idea what college I wanted to go to and I still think now I haven’t really found the college I for sure want to attend, I just found a few possible choices.

I think that the University of California would give me the best opportunity because they have an amazing law program and know for it. Berkeley would allow me have great opportunities when I go out and try to find a job. Basically, it would look good on an application.
The total cost to attend the University of Michigan will be around $18,113. At Michigan State University it will cost around $24,149 total. Finally, my tuition in order to go to Berkeley would be $52,173.
The University of Michigan is most likely the college that I will attend at this point. Obviously all colleges are going to be expensive but I feel like Michigan would be worth it and I don't have to pay out of state costs.
Next year I signed up for accounting and law and society. Accounting will help me because there is a lot of paper involved with being a lawyer and I will need to know about finances if I want to work for myself. Law and society will help me to learn the basic laws and regulations which apply to any job involve with a public policy career pathway.
In order to get into the college of my choice, Berkeley, I will need to get all A's, be involved in school and clubs and find scholarships to help me pay for it. Getting all A's is fairly simple for me, I just need to study. Right now I get all A's and B's without studying. If I get on a schedule and know that getting all A's is an achievement that I want to pursue then I will get all A's. Becoming involved in school and clubs should also be fairly simple, I can sign up for student counsel, student leadership and other classes like those. As for scholarships I plan to sign up for some scholarships with the websites we have signed up for in this class and hopefully receive a scholarship for lacrosse.
To go to Berkeley I need to pay $52,173. Tuition alone would cost $32,281. The cost for a room and board will cost generally around $15,308; a meal plan is included in the room fee. It costs $80 to apply. For parking and books it will average about $4,504. I plan to pay for this through scholarships and I plan to get out of debt by paying for it through my career which will hopefully be a stable one.
I have been kind of teetering between the University of Michigan and Berkeley. They are both great schools but I feel like Berkeley is the better law school but Michigan is definitely more affordable. I didn't change my career necessarily but I went from wanting to be more of a criminal lawyer to leaning more towards a corporate lawyer. I'm not sure why but I think its a better career choice for me and I believe it suits me better.
I think that Texas A&M is a good college for me to get the education in the degree that I want because the school specializes in architecture and engineering which is what I would like to do. Tuition at this school does cost more than at any of the other colleges I looked at. I think this is because it is a very big school that has a great program and you really get what you pay for. The cost and boarding price for Texas A&M isn't quite as high as the others because the tuition is so high, and most students that go there stay in the dorms because they travel far to go there. I think that out of all the colleges I have looked at, Texas A&M is definitely the best choice for me. Classes that I will take during my high school years would include Machine Technology, Automotive Technology, Engineering and Agricultural Fundamentals, Engineering Design, and Construction. I will do more research on this college, and make sure to take classes in school that will help me achieve my goal of becoming an engineer. My parents have started to put together a college fund to help me pay for it when I get older, and my grandparents are also willing to help pay. The total cost for this college is $18,518.26. After doing research, I found this career and college even more appealing that I originally did!

The best college that I found that would get me the best education and pre-Physical Therapy degree, and eventually a master or a doctor In Physical Therapy would be The University of Pittsburgh. I think this would be the best place for me to get my education because it is a well viewed college and has been rated by many different sources as having the top physical Therapy program in the United States. This college also has good tutoring centers. There program is also very hands on which would be best for me.
The three colleges that I choice as the top ones I was considering was The University of Pittsburgh, The University of Toledo, and Indiana University. The University of Pittsburgh tuition cost was $23,332, The University of Toledo cost $18,949 and Indiana University cost $14,886. Of the three The University of Pittsburgh cost quite a bit more than the other colleges because it is a more pristine college that is harder to get in then the others and requires a high GPA to be considered. Indian University and The University of Toledo also have a much higher room and Board cost then Pittsburgh which is because the tuition is for Pittsburgh is much more, also because the room may be nicer.
Though if I had to say which college I will most likely be attending I would have to say I would pick two of them. I want to go to the University of Toledo first to get my degree in pre-Physical Therapy, because it is very close to home so it will not be a big transition to living at home to hardly ever coming home it I went somewhere much farther away, and like there Cross Country team most of all. So far to then be able to help prepare for college I am taking Honors English, Honors geometry, psychology and an extra math class. I also need to achieve each year getting over at the very least a 3.13 GPA to be even be considered for The University of Pittsburgh. To help me do this I will always try my best in school and go to the school tutoring center if I need help.
College is very expensive and the colleges I want to go to are not cheap. University of Pittsburgh total costs are about $31,013, University of Toledo $32,252, and Indiana University is $28,489. To pay for college my parents will help with the cost the most. They have been putting money in a college fund for me ever sense I was born. Though this will not pay for all of the costs so I will have to get a job to help pay for some of the costs. Then also may possibly have to take out if a loan if necessary. Before doing the research I was not sure about any college that I wanted to go to at all. So this helped me find ideas of colleges that are now colleges that I want to attend.
The college that offers me the best college education, and best college for me to pursue my career, is Ohio State University. Because of the fact that Ohio State University is a good college and the fact that it is a nice place to experience many things, including what is necessary for a good career. And to make it fun is better, just because in my opinion you get more out of it. You want to learn more this way. You always will the more fun, the more you pay attention, and it’s just out of habit.
ReplyDeleteThe tuition for all colleges is very high, but the tuition for the three I chose is also pricey as well. The colleges I chose, out of them, sadly Ohio State University was defiantly the highest in price, but that’s alright it’s a very well rounded college, and Ohio State University has the most expensive room and board prices. I would most likely be able to attend OSU because of GPA and bowling green state university as to GPA levels; I would have to go there if not OSU, but BGSU does not have the career I would like to pursue.
I signed up for college biology, algebra, English, social studies, and other classes such as health classes and such to understand all the parts on the body that I will be working on, such as face, hair, and other things to be a cosmetologist. To get into this college I will need to be able to get a 2.5 or higher in GPA nothing lower than a 2.5 and nothing higher than a 4.0. My parents have a fund of 18,000.00 dollars for me in an account, because my mother and I were in a car accident when I was littler. So if they use this on college for the first year of college it would be 1,291.00 dollars they would have to pay to get me in.
After all of this career stuff, yes I changed my career choice, but not my college, and also I think it’s a bad idea for kids to do this, because you should have an idea of what you wanna do, not what you will, it’s a choice of will you or won’t you, you shouldn’t have to decide now, you should decide later in life. But anyways I did change my career pathway choice, and what I want to do, but OSU still stands. I have always wanted to go to this college.

College Reflections
The college that I think offers the best opportunities for me is University of Florida in Gainesville. The degree that I would receive would be in criminal justice. I think this because they offer many types of degrees in criminal justice like criminal investigations, criminology, law enforcement administration, and forensic sciences. It also is known for having one of the best criminal justice programs in Florida.
I would say that all of the colleges that I did research on were expensive; the most being at St. Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. The tuition price there was $26,280, following not far behind that was University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee where their cost was $25,538 and University of Florida being $22,236. I think St. Xavier’s cost is so high because it is a private college and the other two are public universities. The room and board and meal plans are definitely different St. Xavier’s being $9,040 and the meal plan being $1,845, The University of Florida housing and meal plans being $5,250 and $3,550, lastly, the University of Tennessee housings and meal plan being $8,480 and $1,778.
With my current GPA I would be able to get into all three of the colleges. However, it also depends on my SAT and ACT scores. The hardest college for me to get into would be St. Xavier’s university and the easiest being University of Florida where only a 2.0 GPA is needed for acceptance. St. Xavier’s University is also more expensive than all the rest so that one might be pretty hard to pay for. Classes that I have signed up for to help me achieve the criminal justice degree would be law and society and possibly Spanish because for some cities and states background or knowledge of some of a foreign language can be required.
Goals I will need to achieve is to always get the best grades possible and do my very best with everything at school and also to participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, or even tutoring. Paying for college will definitely not be easy. I plan on paying for it with some help from my parents, saved up money from my parents and myself, and I will have to take out students loans and probably lots of them while also going to school I would attend a job to help pay for a little bit of it.
After doing all this research on careers and colleges I changed my mind a lot. I am still very undecided about what I want to be whether it be in business, or criminal justice. I also still do not know where I would like to attend college and if it will be close or far away. This project has made me have to think about things a lot and in a different way. I can’t just choose a college and say I want to go there I will have to consider their majors they have to offer, the cost f tuition and everything else, how I will pay for it, and what I need to be doing right now to prepare for the future.

I think that California State University, Fresno would be the best opportunity for me to get an education in Physical Therapy. I think this because California State University has an excellent program in Physical Therapy. I will most likely attend California State University in Fresno, California because they offer Equestrian scholarships to ride on their equestrian team, you only need a minimum of a 2.0 GPA to get in, and it is more affordable than University of Indianapolis or University of Findlay.
The tuition for California State University in Fresno, California is $11,160, and the cost of room and board in $10,200. The tuition for University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana is $22,020, and the cost for room and board is $8,400. The tuition for University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio is $26,016, and the cost for room and board is $8,810. The college that would be the most expensive to attend is University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. This is because University of Findlay is a private school. California State University in Fresno, California would cost me the most for room and board. I believe that this is because the Tuition is only $11,160 for out of state. However in the end the overall cost are all about the same with University of Findlay and University of Indianapolis costing the most.
I plan on paying for college by applying for grants and scholarships, getting a job to help with the costs, and taking out loans if needed. If I decided to attend University of California in Fresno, California it will cost me about $27,311. The goals that I have already set for myself are to get the highest GPA I can throughout high school, to get all A’s throughout high school, to join National Honor Society, apply for many scholarships and grants, and to stay focused on what I want to do with my life. To achieve these goals I will have to study hard and turn in all of my assignments, help out my community, volunteer, continuing to do my best and stay focused in riding so that I will have a greater chance of getting an equestrian scholarship. Next year I am taking Biology 1 and 2 and to be a physical therapist you have to take Biology in College, I also am taking English, Algebra 2, German 2, and Foods which will help me to know what foods will be best for our body’s and will help us to keep ourselves fit.
After completing my research I did not change my mind about my career choice of being a physical therapist. However I have a better idea of the colleges that I will consider attending. Because I am only a freshman in high school I only have ideas and whishes as to what career I will pursue and what college I will attend.
The college I believe has the best opportunity for me to get an education and degree that I want is the University of North Alabama. This college has a lot of different courses in criminal justice that I think will really benefit me. The campus is very good and my parents will be moving to Alabama when I graduate high school so I won’t be too far away from them. UNA has a good Bachelor’s program and also a good Master’s program in case I want to get another degree.
ReplyDeleteThe approximate total costs for all three colleges I researched were about the same, but they all have different tuitions and room and board costs. The first college, Michigan State University, has the highest tuition out of the three, but it is also the biggest school which could contribute to that. The room and board was the cheapest there. For the University of North Alabama, the tuition was pretty low compared to MSU, but the room and board was a little higher, but still the overall cost was the lowest out of the three colleges. The last college, Armstrong Atlantic State University had lowest tuition and was the smallest school, but had the highest room and board.
Right now I am torn between UNA and AASU. The both have very good criminal justice programs and also play in the same division in volleyball. I like UNA’s campus better from pictures and they have the lowest tuition, so I think I am leaning towards that one more than the other. The classes that I signed up for next year are definitely going to help me with my career and college in the future. I am taking Psychology 2 and Law and Society. Psychology 2 will help me a lot because to be a criminal justice major, you need to minor in Psychology or at least take some Psychology classes in college to get your degree. Law and Society will be a very good class to introduce me to the government and the laws in our country. I need these classes so I will be able to continue with my studies in college.
To get into the schools that I want, I need to get very good grades and make sure I get a good ACT and SAT score, because some of the schools need to have a certain score to be able to be accepted or to get a scholarship. I also need to make the varsity volleyball team here at Bedford so I can get a volleyball scholarship to help pay for college. I really need to bring my grades up to get a good GPA too. I have no idea how I’m going to pay for college! I know my parents don’t have a lot of money towards my college education. Right now with all of my sister’s scholarships, she is paying about $6,000, so my parents probably expect me to get a lot of scholarships to help pay for things. I also need to get a job as soon as I’m allowed to. After researching all these colleges, I really haven’t changed any of my decisions.

The college that I think I would consider the best opportunity for me to get an education in a Bachelor degree is probably The Bowling Green State University. It looks like it may be harder to get into but if I try hard enough maybe I will be able to get in. A couple reasons that it may be hard to get in is an essay is required and a grade point average of 3.8. Also it cost about how much I was think it would total. Bowling Green State University has a lot of students go there for Physical Therapy. It seems to me that I would have a great time if I would go to college for Physical Therapy because I love getting to know people personally and also I like working with my hands.
The tuition and fees are quite a bit difference in price. The Ohio State University is about $10,131. The Bowling Green State University is about $17,352. The University of Toledo is about $16,420. The Ohio State University is about $6,000 cheaper than University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. The room and board is about $10,000 so it kind of balances out. I think that The Ohio State University is cheaper for the tuition and fees but higher with room and board because their rooms are in better shape and most students live on campus in their dorms.
I think the college I will most likely attend is probably the Bowling Green State University. The cost is about what I was planning on spending. I would not end up getting a room because my grandma is moving, and it is close to the University so I could then live with her. It may be challenging because of high of the GPA that I need but I think that I will be able to do it!
I didn’t really sign up for any classes for this career because when I was filling out my card I was not sure what career I wanted to do. However I am taking college biology now so it is a college credit and planning to take college algebra 2 next year. I think that if I took a good look at what classes I would need to take to become a Physical Therapist I could find classes to take in the future and not have to pay for them in college.
There are many goals that I will need to set and also achieve to get into the Bowling Green State University. One of them is to keep my grades up and never give up. Always keep on trying. Another goal is to never miss school until I have to or else I will want to keep on doing. Just because I do not want to go I still do. Also study really hard for big tests and quizzes. Also a goal that I am planning to set is to be able to drive by my senior year. So then I could drive to college if I live with my grandma.
I plan on paying for college by some scholarships, loans, and maybe even grants awarded to me. Some schools out of state will offer tuition reduction for transfer or just to get students from a specific area. The total cost to go to the Bowling Green State University is about $29,350.
I didn’t really have a career choice at the beginning of this year. I am actually looking forward to going to college and get a career in Physical Therapy. I think I will get a good amount of money for my job and will then be able to support my family.

ReplyDeleteLast week I researched three different colleges of my choice. They were the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and the New York School of Interior Design. I think that the University of Michigan provides what I am looking for in a college. It seems like a tough school to get into but I think if I try hard, then I can do it. I think it is the best opportunity for me to get an education in the degree of Interior Design. Their program for Interior Design is very well known. I think it’s one of the best places to go to school for that specific degree.
The cost for tuition at the University of Michigan is $8,636 for the degree I want. At Michigan State University, its $11,722, and at the New York School of Interior Design the cost for tuition is $12,438. The New York School of Interior Design has a higher tuition than the others because it’s a private college; it’s in a large city, and the college only teaches about interior design. This college also has a higher room and board fee. Why? Because its downtown New York City and it has a big population so the apartment fees go up. The cost for room and board for this school is $14,400. That’s a lot for a college student!
The college I think I will most likely attend is the University of Michigan. It’s not because of their GPA, it’s because I am really interested in their interior design program and I absolutely love there campus. I like how you can walk from your house down to where all the restaurants and shops are. I also want to attend here because it’s in state and it’s not a long commute from home.
Some of the classes I am signed up for next year are interior design, wheel throwing, and college prep Algebra 2. These classes will really help me throughout college. The interior design classes I will be taking will really help me learn all about interior design and different techniques, mainly if this is the right career choice for me. Wheel throwing could help me with different shapes and objects and where they could be used in a space. Then college prep Algebra 2, this class will help prepare me for college and the different math related classes. This could help me in my career because it would make it easier to do measurements and dimensions.
Goals that I will need to achieve are improving my grades, improve leadership skills, become more talkative, and be more outgoing. To achieve these goals, I will study harder, volunteer at different places, and join more sports and clubs. The way I am going to pay for college is my parents, student loans, and scholarships. I will apply for many scholarships and hope to receive some. The total cost for my education will be around $21,023. After doing all my researches, I have not changed my mind about my college choice. I still want to go to the University of Michigan and my other options are still Michigan State University and the New York School of Interior Design.

I think the college that offers the best opportunity for me to get a bachelor’s degree and get a good education would have to be the University of Michigan. I think they are the best choice because they offer all of the classes I would need to take to major in a business degree. They also are in the top 30 best colleges in the United States.
Tuition and expensive will greatly affect which college I go to. The in-state expenses for the University of Michigan are $30,964 a year. The out of state expenses for the University of West Virginia are $30,095 which is less than Michigan’s in-state expenses. The University of Toledo’s in state costs are $18,989, which is much cheaper than both other University.
Out of all three of these colleges I would most likely attend the University of Toledo because it is the closest, cheapest and you only need a 3.15 GPA to get into the school. Toledo is right outside of where I live so I probably wouldn’t have to pay for room and board either. It is also almost $12,000 cheaper than both UofM and UoWV. And I would need a much higher GPA to get into Michigan.
The classes I signed up for next year will help me prepare for the career I wish to follow. I will continue to take classes that will help me prepare for the future during my Junior and Senior years as well. Then when I go to college I will take even more classes that will help me with my career.
To get to the college I want to go to when I am older I will need to get good grades and test scores. I will also need to save money. I will achieve this by saving money that I make at my job. Also, I will need to take my studies very seriously, and concentrate on my school work while handling sports and other things teenagers do.
I plan to pay for my college by saving money and using the money I have saved away in my bank account. I will try to get scholarships from colleges and other places to help pay for my college. If I were to go to the University of Toledo I would end up paying a total of $72,000 for 4 years of college.
After this research I have re-thought what I want to do when I’m older. I was sure I wanted to do something outdoors last year but now I think I want to do something involving business. I haven’t really changed where I want to go to college. I have always wanted to go to Michigan, but I assume I will end up going to the University of Toledo.

The college that I believe will give me the best opportunity for me to get an education would be Grand Valley State University. This is because out of all three colleges I researched, Grand Valley State has the lowest tuition with $9,716. GVSU is also relatively close to my home, which will make my parents feel better about choosing this college.
The cost of tuition for Michigan State is $12,822. Siena Heights University has the highest tuition out of all three colleges I researched with the tuition being $19,934. The college with the most miscellaneous expenses is Grand Valley State because their cost is around $3,330. Michigan State has the highest cost of applying with $50. The cost of room and board is the most expensive at Michigan State; $8204. Michigan State also has the highest cost of meal plans with $5068. Altogether, the total cost of $32,973 goes to Siena Heights. I am hoping that I am given a dance scholarship and I will also help pay for college through student loans. My parents have put away some money for my college tuition as well.
Grand Valley State is the right college for me because the expenses are lower, it’s close to home, and I have a better chance of acceptance. The majors offered at Grand Valley State are the majors I have been considering. There are numerous career fields I’m considering and GVSU offers them all. There is also a chance that I could receive a dance scholarship. This increases the possibility of me going to Grand Valley State University.
The classes that I signed up for last year are beneficiary to the career choices I have in mind. I signed up for psychology because I know that whatever job I make my career, I want to be involved with people. Being involved with people means that I will have to face different cultures so I also signed up for Spanish 2. Spanish 2 will add on to the information I learned in Spanish 1. There weren’t as many classes that I could take as a sophomore that would benefit my career. So as a junior, I am positive that I will take anatomy and chemistry.
I have made my goals from last year. Last year, my goal was to be in honors English. Now I am in honors English 9 and I have signed up for honors English 10. I also signed up for honors Geometry and college biology. In 8th grade, I was part of the National Junior Honors Society. I love being in advanced classes. In order to achieve these goals, I put forth a lot of time and commitment to show that I am worthy. This work ethic will be very useful in college when I have more work and more responsibilities. After all this research, I do not change my career choices or choice on college because this researched only made me want to pursue these goals even more.

ReplyDeleteI feel that the best College choice for me would have to be Auburn University because it is very affordable, and it offers my degree choice which I can receive after 4 years of attending that college. The cost of tuition for Auburn University is $23,290 per year. The room and board for this university is fairly high though, it is about $9,992 per year which is pretty expensive. I think the reason for the room/board being higher than the other schools is because the campus is nicer, and the dorms may be newer than some of the others. I guess it would depend if you were going to live on the campus, there may be different price ranges depending on where it’s located.
The GPA needed to get into Auburn University is a 3.4 and right now I currently have a 3.8 which shouldn’t be a problem unless something goes wrong. Anyways I think this would be the easiest college for me to get into because of the GPA needed, the cost isn’t too bad for it being a nice school, and the essay that is needed to be turned in.
My classes that I have signed up for in this upcoming year include Honors English 10A 10B, Geometry A B, College Biology 10A 10B, Concert Choir, Spanish 2A 2B, History 10A 10B and I think that’s it. Taking these classes will definitely help me down the road for my career because I will then be ahead of the game in English and I will have my 2 years of a foreign language that way if I needed to teach in Spain or a place that speaks Spanish I would be able to! I don’t have a lot of room for different electives though because I really love being involved with choir and with that being said choir is an all year class so instead of taking up 2 spaces it takes up 3 knocking out elective space.
The goals that I want to set for myself are to make sure I get my Bachelors degree in Special Education Teaching and to find a good steady job. I will achieve these 2 goals by working my butt off in college and getting good grades that way I would not have to repeat any classes or go to school longer than I would need too. I would also search for open teaching spots around the United States and see which job would offer the best pay and if I would like teaching at that school.
My parents have made a deal with me that if I pass and don’t flunk out of any classes my first year of college that they will pay for three years of college and if I want to go more than three years I would have to pay that money myself. I do plan on making student loans and paying my money back gradually even after I graduate. The total cost for four years of college would be about $93,160.
I didn’t change my career choice after researching colleges because I have always wanted to be a teacher and I feel that it would be the best fit job for me.

I think the college Northwood University offers the best opportunity for me to get an education in the degree I chose. I think this because I have done research, and heard from people that the professors there are very knowledgeable and are very good at preparing you for your future in getting a job. Also, they do hands on activities there that help a lot with the things you might be doing when you get a job. They put you in realistic situations so you know what you’re getting into before you step out into the real world.
The three colleges I researched are all around the same tuition prices, which are around $20,040.00. The most expensive school out of the three is Northwood, because of the books, room and board fees. I think this is because it’s a private school, and people have high standards for it, so they charge more.
I think I could be able to go to Northwood University. I think if I save for college, money won’t be a big problem, but I need to make sure my grades are good enough because they’re strict about your GPA there.
For next year, as a sophomore, I signed up for a business management technology class. This class will help me prepare for what I’m going to be doing when I enter college and eventually get into a career. It will also give me an idea on what I will be doing, and if I don’t like it at all, I could always start over, but I don’t think that will be a problem.
In order to attend this school, it would be a good idea to get into extracurricular activities, because they like to see that on a college application. Also I would need good high school grades to get in, and have some kind of potential that’s noticeable. I’m also going for softball, so they would be looking at that also. I need to work really hard and put the time into school in order to achieve these goals.
To pay for college, I could save money for it, or my dad will pay for it, like he did with my sisters. The total cost to go to Northwood would be around $80,000.
After reading all the facts about this college, I did not change my mind about going there because I already knew most of it when I decided to go. This college stills seems like it would be a good idea to go to. I believe if I go there, I could be very successful.

I think out of all the universities I have researched in the past week, the college that offers me the best opportunity for education for the degree of my choice is Michigan State University. It is the best choice for me because Michigan State offers all kinds of majors and minors to choose from that I could apply for to achieve the career I would like to pursue. The cost of the tuition is $12,822 and is the most expensive out of all the three. But, it is the least expensive for the Room and board out of all the three universities.
To be admitted into Michigan State you have to have a GPA between a 3.4 and a 3.8 and currently I have a GPA of a 3.8. The cost is very expensive too so that might be a problem for me going to this University. Michigan State is the farthest college away from home from the ones I have researched. The other college I could attend would be the University of Toledo because I have all the requirements to be accepted, it is the cheapest out of all the colleges and it is also the closest to home.
The only classes I have signed up for next year that are going to help me in my college path are English and Biology because you need those skills to succeed in the career. The goals I want to get in my career are to be the main pediatrician in the area so everyone will ask for me when they come in. Another goal I want to achieve is to get a promotion in my career at least once or a raise.
After the completion of my research, I did have a different perspective of the University I want to go to. At first, I wanted to go to the University of Toledo because it was close to home but after I researched the majors and minors the school offered and I didn’t like what they offered compared to Michigan State. So my decision is either to go to Michigan State and if I don’t get into Michigan State, I will apply to the University of Toledo.

I think Pepperdine University in Malibu, California offers the best opportunity for me to pursue a degree in business because it is the largest graduate business school in Southern California as well as one of the leading business schools in the world. Not to mention the campus and faculty members are ranked one of the best in the nation. This particular school is very difficult to get into, but if I keep working hard in school and taking challenging classes as well as continuing with extracurricular activities such as sports, I have a good chance of getting in.
Tuition of the schools I am interested in play a big part in what school I am going to attend when I graduate high school and go on to college. The cost of going to my first choice of UCLA is $35,564, the second one is Pepperdine University which is $40,500, and The University of Miami at $40,000. I think that the tuition of Pepperdine University is so expensive because of their world renowned business program and their world class faculty. When it comes to the cost of room and board Pepperdine is the most costly again. It is $11,844 to live on campus in a dormitory. I believe this is so because the university is literally on the beach and you can easily walk from your dorm to the beach in just minutes. Not to mention they are very clean and modern dormitories that are very safe and secure when it comes to crime.
When it comes down to it, the college I will most likely be able to attend is UCLA because it is the cheapest out of the three and when it comes to GPA you only need a 3.4 compared to the other ones where you need a 3.7. The classes I signed up for next year that will greatly help me get into these dream colleges to get my business major are business management and technology, marketing, honors english, AP history and geography, and finally college biology. All the AP, honors, and college classes will increase my chance of getting into these highly competitive schools.
To get into the college of my choice I will definitely need to take a lot of honors, AP, and college courses w along with getting excellent grades in the classes as well. In addition continuing with my sports as extracurricular activities. Along with getting into the school I will need a plan to pay for it as well. My plan is to get academic and sports scholarships. In addition try and get a grant and some student loans that I will eventually have to pay off.
After this whole research project was completed I never changed my mind about my number one choice, but I did take into consideration all the other aspects of the different universities such as their business programs, costs, and room & board.

ReplyDeleteThe college that I believe offers what I consider to be the best opportunity for me to get an education is Huntington University. I infer this because they have an awesome pre-medical program. This college also offers fewer distractions than a larger college such as the University of Michigan would because of the amount of students at each.
The tuitions of the all three colleges are in the same range but the two private colleges cost a bit more than the public college because public colleges are largely supported by state funds whereas private colleges are not. Also, if you attend a public college that is within your state of residence, then the cost is significantly less. The college that I will most likely be able to attend is Huntington because I have higher than the GPA required which is a 3.0. Also I will have more opportunities for scholarships there because my mother went to school there.
The classes that I am signed up for next year that will help me with my career choice are algebra2 and biology. Algebra2 will help me with the measuring and figuring out how much anesthetics to administer to my patients. Biology will help me to know which medicinal drugs to combine to form the proper anesthetic to cater to my patients needs.
There are some goals that I will need to set and achieve in order to get into Huntington. For instance, keeping my grades up will help massively. Also, an additional goal that will help with being accepted is earning money so that I will not have an enormous amount of debt after I graduate. I plan to pay for college in several ways. The ways that I believe I could raise the money for my tuition are working, and focusing on school and practicing my skills and talents so that I will be eligible for scholarships. The total cost for my college education will be $31,720 which is quite expensive.
Even after completing all of the research about these colleges and finding information about other colleges that appear to be promising I have not changed my mind about wanting to attend Huntington University to obtain my bachelors degree. I believe that this college will properly prepare me for medical school. I have also decided to keep the career choice that I started with, becoming an anesthesiologist. I chose not to change my future plans because I know that they are exactly what I want for my future.

I think UCLA offers the best for the type of education I want. They teach the subject I want to major in. They are a very good school, and it is in one of my favorite states. The college is big and also looks nice.
For Ferris State tuition is $9,930. For University of Nevada tuition is $18,203. For UCLA tuition is $22,879. UCLA has the higher tuition. I think this is because out of the three, UCLA is the better school. It may also be because of its location, and the fact it is hard to get into. In regards to room and board, once again, UCLA is more expensive than the others. This is probably because of the location of the school and the size.
I will most likely attend University of Nevada or Ferris State. As much as I’d like to go to UCLA, it costs a lot, and is pretty far away. Next year I signed up for honors algebra 2, and some more engineering classes. These classes will help me in the career path I want to choose, plus the honors classes will look good to colleges. I will have to work hard to keep a good GPA and get good grades. I’ll need to save a lot of money as well. I’ll have to get a job as well. I will have to use the money I have saved to pay for college. Plus any money I get from scholarships and stuff. After doing all of this research, it did not cange my mind about my career path or college choices.

I think that Georgetown would be the best opportunity to be successful in life this is because it is a very exclusive school to get into. This is because it has a very good education system. They also have a marketing degree, which is what I’m looking forward to get. The tuition for these three collages, Maryland Georgetown and Florida State are above 20,000 dollars. Florida State is 20,992 dollars. Maryland’s is 23,178. Georgetown’s is a lot more then all of these collages and there’s is 39,768. This is because it is a Christian collage and normally catholic or Christian schools cost more than other schools.
ReplyDeleteThe collage I would most likely attend would be the University of Maryland. This is because it only cost a little bit more then Florida state but isn’t as far away. I could drive home during spring break or Christmas break. You also don’t need a high GPA you just need a 3.0 or higher which isn’t that hard to get I had a 3.5 GPA last trimester. The
Before I did research I thought I knew what collage I was going to do. I loved Michigan ever since I was a little boy and I love there athletics and also I thought there education system was great to. But after I went to their home website to look up a degree I found out that they don’t have my degree which I was looking for. So I had to use some of my other collages. These collages al cost more than Michigan because I don’t have in state tuition I would have to get and out of state tuition which cost a lot more.

I feel the college that offers the most to education or the best opportunity in the degree of my choice is University of Michigan. I support this choice most because they have a great medical program and I hope to become an anesthesiologist when I’m older.
The cost of the colleges im interested in is very high. USC is near 52,000 dollars a year and it is my first choice. Next to that is university of Michigan which is 25,000 dollars because I am considered a resident. And the next choice is Duke and their cost is the highest, being around 57,000 a year. USC and Duke are very good schools and have near the same price. Both of them do not consider resident or non-resident the tuition is the same for both. And Michigan would have near the same price as the other too but I am a resident of Michigan so I have a different tuition than being a non resident. All the colleges I have researched have about the same room and board, around $9,000-10,000.Next year I signed up for business management, which looks good to colleges and on resumes. Also, I have College Biology which and Physiology which will help me to become something in the medical field. I need to continue to receive good grades and a high GPA, while doing extracurricular activities, and participating in honors classes. I will do this by continuing doing my hardest and study for my classes. The total cost of my college will be around 50,000 I hope to get some scholarships and the rest loans or grants. I became curios about other jobs during my research but I have still continued wanting to be an anesthesiologist.
